Uncommon USA was using a five-panel folder box and we proposed a glued FOL for ease of packing and LTL shipments. The challenge was gluing a 4” x 4” x 94” box which allowed Uncommon USA to easily pop open, load, and seal the ends without spending time stapling the long side of a 5PF.
Our proposal included moving Uncommon USA to a mullen board for added burst and outside/inside liner strength, as well as creating a perforated fold (cut-crease).
This improved the ability of the box to be squared up on a consistent basis and led to efficiencies packing and shipping, while mitigating damaged product.
