The large 2-piece triple wall boxes were being damaged during the loading and unloading process. Boxes would shift in transit and cause issues unloading. Due to the size of these boxes only 320 boxes fit in a truck load.
BCI developed a custom pallet that fits the footprint of the box, added top and bottom dunnage to help assist with fork damage. BCI also stretch wrapped all units and added additional bands and banding pressure to prevent shifting during transport.
They have seen zero complaints with unit damage and shifting units since implementation.
